The One Trail, One Permit Model

ATV riders across Ontario are asking the province to work with the OFATV to create a One Trail, One Permit Model. This will increase safety for riders, improve rider access to reliable trails, increase tourism, and bring the ATV community in line with the Ontario Snowmobile Club permitting system.

Ontario’s ATV industry is continuing to grow rapidly and is in need of new supports to ensure safe, responsible, and sustainable riding across the province.

Currently, the fragmented and inconsistent ATV permitting system in Ontario makes it difficult for riders to enjoy the many trails Ontario has to offer. Riders travelling across municipal boundaries may have to access different permitting systems and abide by different safety standards. The lack of consistency and continuity in trail permitting means that the safety of riders and their access to reliable trails is compromised.

ONE TRAIL, ONE MODEL, ONE VISION

ATV riders across Ontario are asking the Provincial Government to work with the OFATV to create a One Trail, One Permit Model for Ontario riders. This will streamline the permitting process, while also ensuring the safety of Ontario riders.
